These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Space Telescope website (spacetelescope.app), its mobile applications, and any companion Reddit integrations (collectively, the "Service") operated by us ("we", "our", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Space Telescope provides educational content about space telescopes, observatories, human spaceflight, planetary science, and related missions. Content includes imagery, descriptions, and news aggregated from public sources including NASA, ESA, STScI, and other space agencies.
2. Reddit Integration
We operate a companion application on Reddit's Developer Platform that publishes imagery to our official community subreddit. The integration is read/write on our own subreddit only and does not access content from other communities or users. By browsing our subreddit you are also subject to Reddit's User Agreement.
3. Content Ownership and Attribution
Imagery shown on the Service is credited to its original sources (NASA, ESA, STScI, CSA, and others). Those credits appear on each image's detail page. Original text written by us (summaries, news posts, educational articles) may be reused with a link back to the source page on spacetelescope.app.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to (a) attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network; (b) scrape the Service or its API at a rate that materially impacts its performance for other users; (c) impersonate any person or entity; or (d) use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
5. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. Scientific content is aggregated for educational purposes and should not be relied on as primary source material.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
7. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The revised Terms will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after revisions become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
