How do you connect and remotely operate the webb telescope?

Engineers and scientists prepare command sequences on Earth (at Space Telescope Science Institute). These commands are uploaded in batches via NASA’s Deep Space Network. The telescope executes them autonomously while orbiting the Sun–Earth L2 point. Data is later sent back to Earth through the same network. So: no real-time control only pre-planned commands sent remotely, then executed automatically.
