Trust & transparency

Editorial policy

Primary sources first

Mission status, dates, measurements, and discovery claims should link to the responsible agency, observatory, archive, or research paper. Secondary reporting may add context but should not replace the underlying source.

Clear labels

News, explainers, live data, artist concepts, processed imagery, and simulations are identified for what they are. Image credits and source links remain attached wherever the source provides them.

Human responsibility

Automation may assist with data ingestion, translation, or drafting. A human editor remains responsible for publication, sourcing, and corrections. Automated output is not treated as evidence.

Updates and corrections

Material changes should update the page date. Factual errors are corrected in place and significant corrections are recorded on the corrections page.

Commercial separation

Subscriptions and advertising do not determine scientific conclusions or editorial coverage. Paid links must be labeled and use appropriate link attributes.
